Terry’s Pizza closes Bailey Cove location after six years
Terry’s Pizza, a classic Huntsville restaurant, has permanently closed its rebooted location at Bailey Cove Shopping Center, effective September 27. The announcement thanked patrons for their support but noted that Terry’s pizzas remain available for takeout and take-and-bake options at Star Market locations in Huntsville and Meridianville and at Reeves Drug Store in Pulaski, TN.
Opened in 2018, the Bailey Cove location was the first standalone Terry’s in 12 years and featured seating for about 80, a drive-thru, and menu items like calzones and lasagna. The restaurant faced challenges during its six-year run, including the COVID-19 pandemic and staffing issues. Terry’s was founded in 1959 by Lou Pejza, who later passed away in 2006, leading to the closure of several locations. Star Market later revived Terry’s name and recipes for carry-out options, but the standalone restaurant struggled to succeed.
