Panoply is a Greek word that translates to “a magnificent or impressive array,” and that is truly what Panoply is!
Panoply is a long-standing event in which vendors can come and sell their craft. Panoply has a wide array of food and unique goods made by artists and artisans from all over the US! The vendors all set up their displays around the pond in Big Spring Park for the locals to enjoy.

May 3, 1946 - The Huntsville Times:
“A good crowd witnessed the first local wrestling matches of the season last night at Lincoln Park,in which they saw the popular mat star, "Babe" Zaharias, win two out of three falls over Al Massey in the main event. The fight went for 45 minutes of a 90 -minute time limit. Zaharias took the first fall, Massey the second and the "Babe" took the winning one in a surprise attack. In the opening event, Dick Lever, an old favorite here, won over "Gentleman" Jim Dobbie in 17 minutes of a one-fall fight. Dolly West , 125 -pound Texan over Babe Garbo, 132 pounds, Kansas City, with a body slam in the second match of the evening.”

Trash Pandas 🦝
Following their April 28th game against the Tennessee Smokies, the Rocket City Trash Pandas faced off against the Birmingham Barons. They secured a victory on April 30th with a 3-2 win but experienced a setback on May 1st, falling to an 11-6 defeat.
The Trash Pandas are currently 13-11 and 2nd in the South-North conference. The Barons are first in the conference; if you’re in Birmingham, go route for the boys to pull out a series win this weekend!

Huntsville Havoc 🏒
The Huntsville Havoc competed against the Peoria Rivermen in the final two games of the Presidents Cup Finals in Peoria. They went into the final two games with a 1-0 advantage in the series. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to pull out of the series as they lost 6-4, and on the following day, 5-1.
Congrats to the Huntsville Havoc on a fantastic season and breaking multiple records in their conference, including 20 straight sellouts!
