Brick Galaxy Huntsville 🧱🚂📚

Be part of a day filled with creativity at the South Huntsville Public Library’s free LEGO® event! Perfect for families and LEGO® fans of all ages, this one-day event at 7901-L Bailey Cove Road, Huntsville, AL, on August 24, 2024, will feature amazing creations from the Tennessee Valley LEGO® Club (TNVLC), which is celebrating its 16th year. You’ll see everything from unique builds to a collaborative town and train scene with working trains.

Sourdough Bread Class 101 🍞👩‍🍳🥖

Due to popular demand, Pleasant Hill Farms is offering a sixth Sourdough Bread 101 Class on August 24th from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at University Pickers, 3405 Triana Boulevard Southwest, Huntsville, Alabama. This hands-on class provides everything needed to learn how to make sourdough loaf bread and rolls using a five-generation-old family starter.

Participants will take home basic sourdough skills, a fresh loaf, the cherished family recipe, and their own starter in a Mason jar. The mild sourdough is easy to maintain, requiring feeding only once a week. Tickets are available at Sourdough 101 Aug. Class | University Pickers.

Upcycling Workshop for National Secondhand Wardrobe Day ♻️✂️🛍️

Learn the art of upcycling and apply your new skills at the Downtown Huntsville Library on August 25th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This free workshop will introduce you to the concept of upcycling, followed by a series of engaging design challenges where you can practice what you've learned. All materials will be provided, making it easy for you to dive right in. A parent or guardian must accompany participants under 16, and registration is required for each person attending. Huntsville Approves $10M Permit for New Cabela Drive Development

Huntsville has issued a $10 million building permit for a significant new development on Cabela Drive. Huntsville Man Breaks Three World Records with Unbelievable Creations

Michael Pick, a former Lockheed Martin engineer from Huntsville, has captured national attention by breaking three world records with his inventive creations. After leaving his job and moving to Los Angeles, Pick launched a YouTube channel that skyrocketed to over a million followers. His record-breaking feats include building the largest Xbox console and creating the world's largest and fastest Nerf guns, with his 12-foot-long Nerf gun now on display in a Danish museum.
