The Tennessee Valley Hunting & Fishing Expo returns on Saturday, July 13, at the Von Braun Center South Hall in Huntsville, Alabama. Bridgerton Cookie Decorating Class 🧁🍪🍰
A Bridgerton-themed cookie decorating class hosted by Everyday Holladay Cookies will be held on July 13, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM. Participants will decorate 6 freshly baked cookies with 7 different icings and all necessary supplies. The class will teach different icing techniques, making icing transfers, painting with wafer paper, and using decorating tips. Attendees will take home their decorated cookies and a goodie bag with supplies for home decorating. Open to ages 14 and above, this event will be fun and creative.

Family Fun Events by Huntsville Parks & Recreation
Huntsville Parks & Recreation invites families with young children to enjoy a morning outside this Parks & Recreation month with the "Splish Splash Bash," which will be held today, July 12th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. It will offer music, crafts, and more for kids ages three to five, accompanied by an adult.
Huntsville City FC Seeking New Coach
The Huntsville City Football Club (HCFC) is looking for a replacement following interim coach Christophe Berra’s announcement that he will leave after the club’s next match. Berra, who started as Assistant Coach in January alongside former head coach Jack Collison, shared that he is stepping down to accommodate his growing family and return to Scotland after six months in the States. His final game as interim head coach will be July 10 against the New England Revolution II. Berra's departure marks the second coaching change for HCFC this year, following Collison's exit three months ago. Despite these challenges, Berra expressed optimism about the club's future, believing their best season is yet to come.
UAH Moves Forward with $216 Million Executive Plaza Development
The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is advancing its most ambitious campus revitalization project to date: the multi-phased development of the 58-acre Executive Plaza site. This $216 million initiative aims to transform the area into a vibrant multi-use district with student housing, a UAH-anchored research building, collaborative office spaces, and retail and entertainment options. The project seeks to deepen UAH’s community ties, bolster research standings, and reinforce its status as a premier academic institution in the Southeast. UAH is seeking a master developer for this transformative effort, with qualifications accepted until mid-August and a selection anticipated by fall 2024. This development follows the planned construction of the Raymond B. Jones Engineering Building, set to begin in late 2024 pending Board of Trustees approval.
